Site Admins have been working to fix a problem with some videos not showing in various browsers.
We managed to pin this down to incompatibility between Flash 10 on the client side (your end) and the software we use at the server side (our end).
A fix has been installed, so hopefully all videos on the site should now play - whatever version of Flash you are using.

Videos from the site embedded into the forum will not work until we adapt the embed code.
We are working on that now.

We have disallowed anonymous posting of file comments due to mis-use by spammers

We realise that there are many users who prefer to browse the site anonymously and that the majority of those users only posted comments that were welcome.
Unfortunately, the minority were swamping us with spam and it looks like some files have been especially targetted by the script-kiddies using various proxies to hide their real ip.

Apologies to those of you who didn't abuse this. You can still browse the site anonymously, but, for now, only logged-in members will be able to post a comment.

We have now transferred the wiki to the new server.
There may be problems accessing it for a day or two while the dns updates propogate around the Internet.

We have moved the Brillyunt site from a shared hosting environment to a virtual private host.
This should mean the site runs a lot faster at all times.

Members who upload files will now automatically receive a PM when their file has been approved.

In the few cases where we delete instead of approve, the uploader will also receive a PM with a short note telling them why it was deleted.
Please don't take it personally if we delete your upload, this is usually only done if the file is the incorrect format (so won't show) or if it is already on the site.

We have upgraded to the latest software version today.

Please note that the Brillyunt site now uses our forum to manage all user registrations.
Your old Brillyunt site usernames & passwords can no longer be used to log in.

If were previously a member of the site but not the forum, you will have to re-register.

Fixed a problem with the pic hosting function.

(Problem was that I had archived the old folder for the pics, uploaded to the new server, then forgot to decompress it again )

Fixed a problem with Previous Wan, Next Wan & Send to yer Pals buttons on the new server.

re-wrote the code that showed User Avatars on the site.
It would only show uploaded Avatars - changed to show Gallery & Remote avatars
